Clemson Tigers not only secured a significant 59-35 victory over NC State Wolfpack but also marked their 800th win in program history. Clemson’s explosive offense, led by junior quarterback Cade Klubnik, and their opportunistic defense played pivotal roles in this milestone victory in the 92nd installment of the Textile Bowl, held at a sold-out Memorial Stadium.
Klubnik spearheaded Clemson to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter, completing 16 of 24 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 70 yards, including a career-long 55-yard touchdown run. Phil Mafah added 107 yards on the ground with a 38-yard touchdown run. The Clemson defense contributed significantly with two first-quarter turnovers and a 53-yard interception return for a touchdown by cornerback Ashton Hampton. Despite NC State’s attempts to mount a comeback in the second half, Clemson’s lead proved insurmountable.
