Alan Bowman matched a career-high with five touchdown passes, leading the 13th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys to a resounding 45-10 victory over Tulsa. Bowman, now in his seventh year of eligibility, continued to demonstrate his prowess, completing 24 of 31 passes before being sidelined for the fourth quarter. His performance was reminiscent of his standout games with Texas Tech in previous seasons.
De'Zhaun Stribling was Bowman's primary target, recording 174 receiving yards and two touchdowns, including a spectacular 63-yarder. While the Cowboys' passing game flourished, they had to overcome a subdued performance from last season's Doak Walker Award winner, Ollie Gordon II, who was limited to just 41 yards on 17 carries by a surprisingly stout Tulsa defense.
Tulsa's offense struggled to find a rhythm, with quarterback Kirk Francis tallying 153 yards and one interception. Despite a late touchdown drive led by Stephen Kittleman, Tulsa could not threaten Oklahoma State's dominance. The Cowboys, now 3-0, look forward to their Big 12 showdown against No. 12 Utah next week, while Tulsa will aim to recover against Louisiana Tech.
