In a thrilling Week 9 contest of the 2023 season, the Washington Huskies edged out the Stanford Cardinal 42-33 in a high-scoring affair at Stanford Stadium. The Huskies took an early lead with a 1-yard rushing touchdown by Jack Westover in the first quarter and maintained momentum through explosive plays, including a 92-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Lynn Polk in the second quarter.
Stanford fought back valiantly with Ashton Daniels leading the charge, recording two rushing touchdowns and a 39-yard touchdown pass to Elic Ayomanor.
