The Rutgers Scarlet Knights defeated the Indiana Hoosiers with a final score of 31-14. Rutgers started strong with Gavin Wimsatt scoring a 3-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Indiana responded with Brendan Sorsby's 35-yard touchdown pass to Omar Cooper Jr.
Rutgers took the lead in the second quarter when they blocked a punt and Eric Rogers returned it for a 17-yard touchdown. Brendan Sorsby managed to tie the game with a 4-yard rushing touchdown before halftime, but a late field goal by Jai Patel put Rutgers ahead. Gavin Wimsatt's 80-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter sealed the victory for Rutgers.
