The second quarter saw a field goal from Jack Drake of Ball State, bringing the score to 10-3 at halftime.
In a competitive third quarter, Marquez Cooper extended Ball State’s lead with a 15-yard rushing touchdown, while Central Michigan responded with a touchdown pass from Jase Bauer to Jesse Prewitt III. In the fourth quarter, Kelly sealed the victory with another rushing touchdown, despite a late 1-yard touchdown run by Marion Lukes of Central Michigan.
