The UNLV Rebels defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack with a final score of 45-27 in an action-packed game. The Rebels started strong, scoring two quick touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 59-yard pass from Jayden Maiava to Ricky White. In the second quarter, the Rebels extended their lead with another touchdown pass by Maiava and a rushing touchdown by Donavyn Lester, making the score 28-7 at halftime.
In the second half, the Wolf Pack made efforts to catch up with touchdowns by Brendon Lewis and Sean Dollars but were unable to bridge the gap. UNLV's Donavyn Lester had an impressive 66-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Despite a late touchdown by Nevada's Isaah Crocker, UNLV's lead remained unassailable.
