The New Mexico State Aggies triumphed over the Sam Houston Bearkats with a final score of 27-13. The Aggies dominated the first half, pulling ahead with a commanding 27-0 lead by halftime. Diego Pavia's stellar performance, both as a passer and a runner, was instrumental to the Aggies' success.
Despite Jaylen Phillips and the Bearkats' third-quarter comeback attempts, the Aggies' defense held firm. Keegan Shoemaker connected with Noah Smith for two touchdowns, but it was too little, too late. Excellent execution and strategic plays by New Mexico State secured their victory.
