The Mississippi State Bulldogs edged out the Arizona Wildcats 31-24 in an overtime thriller at Davis Wade Stadium. Both teams displayed a resilient effort, with the Wildcats coming back from a 14-point deficit to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. Despite numerous turnovers by Arizona, they managed to force overtime with a late field goal.
In overtime, Mississippi State's Will Rogers connected with Jeffery Pittman for a touchdown, and the defense held strong to seal the victory. Jayden De Laura, despite four interceptions, put on a valiant effort for Arizona, both in the air and on the ground. It was a hard-fought battle that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the very end.
